Adam Cooper: Greets Green Children's Centre Manager

As centre manager the main responsibility is to oversee all of the services and activities that the centre provides.

It's my job to make sure that the centre meets the needs of all the children and families within the Greets Green area.


     

Sophie Perkins and Amy Cadman: Family Support Workers

The Family Support Team provides support at home or at the Children's Centre for families who feel they need extra advice, befriending and help.

The Family Support Team can advise on childcare, parenting social issues and behavioral problems. We can also help you access other agencies for advice.


 

Gaganpreet Bains: Volunteer and Training Co-Ordinator

The volunteer and training co-ordinator role is to develop a volunteer and training programme for the Greets Green Children Centre and to develop volunteer and training opportunities across the area.

Within the Greets Green area the volunteer and training co-ordinator provides support and advice as well as signposting and guidance on lifelong learning and employment opportunities to parents of children aged 0 - 5 years.

Another duty is to recruit parents and carers of children aged 0 -5 years into the volunteer programme and provide appropriate training and support.


Glynis Webb: QTS

As a qualified teacher in the centre, the main role is to improve the quality of experience for children attending early years services aged 0 - 5 years.

Another duty is to provide support to the daycare at Greets Green Childrens Centre, YMCA Nursery and Sandwell College.

Within Greets Green Childrens Centre the qualified teacher offers support to the Early Years Team and liaises with other schools such as Ryders Green School, Lodge Road Primary School and Guns Village Primary School to offer support to their Early Years Teams.


Manjit Deol: Maternity Support Worker

The role of a maternity support worker is to provide a home visiting support service to expectant mothers during their pregnancy through to 6 months after the birth of their child.

Maternity support workers also offer a culturally sensitive service tailoring their support to meet the individual needs of mother and family. During this most important time maternity support workers help mothers to feel comfortable and confident when breastfeeding their baby.

Maternity support workers can give information during the pregnancy and support mothers in the comfort of their home after discharge from the maternity ward.
